Justin Timberlake Reaches Plea Deal to Resolve Drunken Driving Case

Pop Star to Pay Fines and Attend Alcohol Education Classes

Case Stems from DUI Arrest in Memphis in March

Justin Timberlake has reached a plea deal to resolve a drunken driving case stemming from his arrest in Memphis in March, according to an Associated Press source.

Under the terms of the deal, Timberlake will pay a $500 fine and attend alcohol education classes, the source said.

The charge will be dismissed if Timberlake completes the terms of his probation, the source said.

Timberlake was arrested on March 28 after police said he was seen driving erratically and failed a field sobriety test.

He was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol.

Timberlake apologized for his actions in a statement released after his arrest.

"I deeply regret my behavior and I take full responsibility for my actions," he said.

"I am committed to fulfilling my obligations under the law and completing my alcohol education classes, and I am grateful for the support of my family and friends."

Timberlake's plea deal comes just days before he is scheduled to begin his "Man of the Woods" tour.

The tour is set to kick off in Toronto on May 18.

It is unclear if Timberlake's DUI arrest will have any impact on the tour.
