Criminal Minds Star: I Regret Starring in Series

Shemar Moore, a main character in the series, says he left it a decade ago and has no desire to go back.

Moore played Derek Morgan, a BAU agent, for 11 seasons.

Shemar Moore, who played Derek Morgan on the hit CBS crime drama Criminal Minds, recently opened up about his decision to leave the show after 11 seasons.

In an interview with People magazine, Moore said that he "regrets ever being part of the show".

“I just felt like it was time for me to move on and do something different,” he said. “I didn’t feel like I was challenged anymore. I was just going through the motions.”

Moore went on to say that he has no desire to return to the show, even for a guest appearance.

“I’m not going back to Criminal Minds,” he said. “I’m done with that chapter of my life.”

Moore's decision to leave Criminal Minds came as a surprise to many fans.

The show is one of CBS's most popular dramas, and Moore was a fan favorite.

However, Moore said that he was ready to move on to other things.

“I’m grateful for the time I spent on Criminal Minds,” he said. “But I’m excited to see what the future holds for me.”

Moore has since gone on to star in the CBS drama S.W.A.T.

He has also appeared in several films, including The Brothers and The Man from U.N.C.L.E.

Moore is currently working on a new project, a crime drama called FBI: Most Wanted.

The show is set to premiere on CBS in 2020.
